Gray-New Gloucester Animal Hospital is proud to announce we have achieved our Fear Free™ Practice Certification! 

Gray-New Gloucester Animal Hospital is now 1 of 4 Fear Free™ practices in the sate of Maine, and 1 of 254 country-wide. 

As a Fear Free™ Certified Veterinary Practice we have taken important steps to enahance the comfort and well-being of patients during their visits. For many pets and their owners veterinary visits can cause fear, anxiety and stress. We have adopted techniques to best reduce stress while promoting a positive veterinary experience. 

Founded by Dr. Marty Becker and developed by hundreds of experts in behavior, medicine and handling - Fear Free™ is an education company providing coursework, knoweldge and tools to support pets' physical and emotional well-being. 

This practice certification goes beyond training individual team members. It involves the entire practice adopting a set of rigorous standards designed to mimize stress for pets. All of our doctors and support staff are certified Fear Free™ professionals and maintain a standard of care compliant with the values of Fear Free™.
